SVETI PETAR is a small place 15 km south of Zadar and 6 km north of Biograd na Moru. A beautiful and quiet tourist place where you can comfortably spend your vacation, swimming during the day and sleeping peacefully at night.
Sv. Petar was named after the church of St. Peter the Apostle from the 18th century St. Petar (the place was called Krmčina until 1994) has been known since the 16th century when the first inhabitants and houses and estates of the Zadar family Civarelli were recorded, but the wider area is rich in archaeological and cultural-historical monuments from prehistory to modern times. In the center of the town are visible the remains of medieval farm buildings that belonged to the abbey on Rogovo. In the wider area of ??today's place Sv. Peter in prehistory man used the glades, caves and foothills of Tustica for his habitat, either temporarily or permanently. Thus, at the foot of the hill there is Tustica and the Buta cave, and two Iron Age forts - Pećinska gomila and Vukašinov krug. Trajan's aqueduct Biba - Jader, whose remains are still visible today, also passed there.
